Solid 9ct gold. The back, outer casing and jump ring are solid 9ct gold. Hallmarked 9c, makers mark 420488 to the inside of the back. Antique worn before. Smaller more petite round design. Nice and clean.
Case signed C. W. C. CO. Trademark, numbered 881779, hallmarked, with a monogram on the back: “From D.R. to Mattie”. Spring ring clasp / closure ON THE CHAIN. Total chain length is about 27″, pendant is about 2.5’’.
The watch is in good working condition. The case is sterling silver with British hallmarks. The maker’s mark, or import mark, consists of the letters ‘LP’ in a shield cartouche. The movement is a Swiss cylinder movement also hallmarked ‘LP.’ I don’t think the key that comes with this watch is original to the piece.
Features elegant, ornate Louis XVI style stamped hands. Caliber: Lepine Caliber IV layout with distinctive parallel bar bridges. Type: Pocket Watch. Era: Pre-1920 (Circa 1870-1890).
